Loganair connects customers to global reward currency through updated loyalty programme
31 March 2025 – Loganair, the UK’s leading regional airline, has officially transitioned to Avios as the currency for its newly rebranded loyalty programme, Loganair Loyalty.
The move, effective today, enables customers to collect and spend Avios when flying with Loganair, joining a global network of airlines, including British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling, Qatar Airways, and Finnair, and ultimately connecting customers to locations across the world.
Passengers can now seamlessly collect Avios on flights across Loganair’s extensive network, which connects key regional hubs including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Newcastle, and its newly announced Southampton base, as well as services from London Heathrow and Isle of Man. Additionally, customers can benefit from Loganair’s codeshare and interline partnerships, opening even more opportunities to collect and use Avios for travel across the UK, Europe, and beyond.
The loyalty programme has been renamed from Clan Loganair to Loganair Loyalty, maintaining all current benefits while shifting to Avios as the rewards currency. Existing Clan Loganair members will have their points automatically converted to Avios, aligning the value of their Avios with other airlines. Customers can link their Loganair Loyalty and British Airways Club accounts, allowing for the seamless transfer between programmes.
Luke Lovegrove, Chief Commercial Officer at Loganair, said: “The introduction of Avios, alongside our rebrand to Loganair Loyalty, opens a world of new benefits for our customers. It marks an exciting step forward, giving our frequent flyers more flexibility and choice in collecting and spending rewards.”
Loganair’s integration into the Avios ecosystem provides greater flexibility and value to its customers and offers the ability to transfer Avios between Loganair and British Airways Club accounts, giving them access to a wider range of options to use their rewards, whether on domestic or international travel.
Veronica Vicars, Chief Growth Officer at IAG Loyalty, said: “We're thrilled to welcome Loganair as the newest member of our Avios family, offering customers even greater opportunities to collect and spend Avios. This is yet another step towards achieving our ambition to make Avios the most flexible and widely accepted travel loyalty currency globally”
With Avios now available for Loganair’s extensive regional network, customers can collect rewards on lifeline services to remote Scottish communities, as well as flights to major business and leisure destinations. This transition aligns with Loganair’s continued commitment to providing exceptional benefits and seamless travel experiences for its customers.
